Doctrines confessed by the members of the UKH are common to the majority of Christian denominations and organizations.
We believe and confess:
- Triune God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
- infallibility of the Holy Scriptures, which are inspired by God and are the absolute authority in questions of faith and life,
- God’s sovereignty in creation, revelation, redemption and the Last Judgment,
- Jesus Christ, Son of God, His virgin birth, sinless life and redemptive death on the cross for the sins of the world,
- bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, His ascension and the Second Coming,
- all people are sinners; sin is a result of turning away from God for which we are subject to God’s wrath and judgment,
- redemption of man and deliverance from the punishment of the eternal
condemnation exclusively through the saving work of Jesus Christ,
- salvation and justification of the sinner only on the basis of God’s grace through faith in Christ,
- the re-birth from the Holy Spirit as the condition of salvation,
- the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian,
- the spiritual unity of the Church – the Body of Christ – of which all true believers are members.
- eternal life, which is God’s gift of mercy, and eternal punishment, which is an expression of God’s justice.
