University Christian Association

We believe and confess:

1. Triune God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
2. infallibility of the Holy Scriptures, which are inspired by God and are the absolute authority in questions of faith and life,
3. God’s sovereignty in creation, revelation, redemption and the Last Judgment,
4. Jesus Christ, Son of God, His virgin birth, sinless life and redemptive death on the cross for the sins of the world,
5. bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, His ascension and the Second Coming,
6. all people are sinners; sin is a result of turning away from God for which we are subject to God’s wrath and judgment,
7. redemption of man and deliverance from the punishment of the eternal condemnation exclusively through the saving work of Jesus Christ,
8. salvation and justification of the sinner only on the basis of God’s grace through faith in Christ,
9. the re-birth from the Holy Spirit as the condition of salvation,
10. the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Christian,
11. the spiritual unity of the Church – the Body of Christ – of which all true believers are members.
12. eternal life, which is God’s gift of mercy, and eternal punishment, which is an expression of God’s justice.
